Deron is an attorney and registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. Deron has more than twelve years of experience in conducting environmental compliance audits, developing compliance management programs, air and water pollution permitting, hazardous waste management, sampling and analysis, radiological issues, including waste handling and worker protection, emergency response and contingency plan preparation, storm water pollution prevention plan preparation, spill prevention countermeasure and control plan preparation, employee training, regulatory reporting, and regulatory agency negotiations pertaining to issues ranging from EPA violations/findings/orders to permit/environmental plan reviews. Deron has conducted compliance audits and reviews throughout the United States, Mexico, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Canada. He has assisted clients in a variety of manufacturing, industrial, and government sectors, including automobile assembly and parts manufacturing, foundries, stamping facilities, utilities, commercial printing and coating, pulp and paper production, metal finishing and electroplating, chemical manufacturing, consumer products, wastewater treatment plant operations, and Superfund sites from remedial investigations/feasibility studies through the remediation process. Deron earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics in 1994 from Idaho State University, his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering in 1999, also from Idaho State University, and his Juris Doctor in 2005 from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. Deron is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association, Environmental Law Committee, and has a working proficiency in Spanish.
