Union Central Litigation
Currently pending before Judge Susan J. Dlott of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio is a motion to grant final approval to a $2.2 million settlement of plaintiffs’ claims against The Union Central Life Insurance Co. (Union Central). Goldenberg Schneider, along with Shepherd Finkelman Miller & Shah, LLP, and other co-counsel, filed a nationwide class action lawsuit against Union Central alleging that it had improperly entered into revenue-sharing agreements with various mutual funds that provided illegal kickbacks to Union Central in violation of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
