Biography
Rachel is an Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor and Compliance Manager. She is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with over 12 years of experience working as an EHS professional. Rachel has held positions at the site, regional, and corporate levels with activities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Rachel is an expert in EHS program development, audits/assessments, hazard analysis, hazard-based training programs, and EHS management systems including Responsible Care. Rachel’s expertise spans multiple industries including construction, manufacturing, transportation, pulp & paper, oil & gas, food & beverage, power generation/nuclear with specialization in the following high hazard areas: confined space, LOTO, crane & rigging, heavy haul, working at heights, hazardous substance transportation & storage, and waste management.
Rachel has developed comprehensive EHS programs, encompassing everything from creating individual policies to implementing fully integrated safety management systems. In addition, she has led and conducted audits internally and as a third party auditor. She has also guided clients through regulatory challenges, including OSHA settlements, OSHA fatality investigations, OSHA injury investigations, OSHA emphasis program audits, MSHA citation settlement, MSHA on site audits, DOT onsite & remote audits, and DOT Hazardous Materials audits. Rachel’s experience in auditing and designing tailored solutions to address clients’ needs helps to monitor and evaluate compliance, mitigate risks, and enhance workplace safety.
Rachel earned a Master of Public Health in Occupational Health & Safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Occupational Health & Safety from Columbia Southern University. She completed her B.S. in Animal Science with a concentration in Production Management in 2011, this coupled with her ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification brings valuable insights into the food safety industry.
In recognition of professional excellence, Rachel was awarded the Top 40 Under 40 in Commercial Construction by the Alabama Associated General Contractors in 2022. This honor reflects her commitment to advancing safety.
