Meyer V. Nissan North America

As co-lead counsel, the firm settled a national class action brought in Los Angeles County, California. The suit claimed that thousands of Nissan Quest minivans throughout the United States developed dangerous levels of carbon deposits in the accelerator system causing the pedal to stick resulting in a roadway safety hazard, including documented accidents and injuries. The settlement includes the application of the vehicle warranty to remedy the problem as well as to pay for the cost of past maintenance paid by consumers out of pocket to fix the condition. Equally important is the fact that Nissan repair facilities and the van owners will be receiving an educational notice regarding the condition and repair.
