(“Heights”) offers personal installment loans through its family of brands—Heights Finance, Covington Credit, Quick Credit and Southern Finance—at over 285 locations. Heights Finance is a subsidiary of Attain Finance, formerly Curo Group Holdings Corp. A third-party Heights vendor recently experienced a data security incident, potentially compromising the sensitive information of more than one million Heights customers.

On May 7, 2026, cloud platform Indico Data Solutions (“Indico”) concluded that it had experienced a data security incident. Also on May 7, 2026, Heights learned that its third-party cloud-based storage platform suffered a data breach. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor may have accessed online repositories containing information belonging to some Indico corporate customers. Consequently, some Heights customers’ Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) and financial information may have been compromised. The compromised details include—but are not limited to—names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, account details, bank account information (including bank names, account numbers, and routing numbers), related financial data, social Security numbers, tax ID, driver’s license numbers, state ID numbers, dates of birth, and information voluntarily provided by consumers, such as personal circumstances shared during customer service interactions.

Formerly Exact Sciences Corporation, now Abbott, specializes in cancer screening and diagnostic tests. It is the company behind Cologuard and Cancerguard. It recently experienced a data security incident, potentially impacting sensitive information belonging to an undisclosed number of Abbott customers.

According to an article published by technology news outlet Bleeping Computer, a hacking and extortion group listed “Exact Sciences Corporation” as a victim on its data leak website. Bleeping Computer says the group, called ShinyHunters, claims to have stolen over “30 million rows of customer personally identifiable information (PII) from multiple datasets containing names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, dates of birth, and more than one million Social Security numbers. The group also claimed to have stolen over 22 million client notes containing doctor-patient conversations, more than 20 million medical orders, and customer agreements and NDAs.” However, Bleeping Computer was unable to independently verify these claims. Abbott released a statement on July 16, 2026, confirming its Cancer Diagnostics business experienced a data breach. The company emphasizes that a limited number of its internal systems were impacted, and no other Abbott businesses, sites, or systems were breached.

(“AdaptHealth”) is a publicly traded medical equipment company. It recently experienced a data security incident, potentially exposing the sensitive information of an undisclosed number of AdaptHealth customers.

According to a Form-8K AdaptHealth filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 2, 2026, a threat actor contacted the company on June 15, 2026. It claimed to have obtained data from AdaptHealth’s systems. AdaptHealth has since confirmed that some data—including a stored password file associated with insurance billing—was exfiltrated from its systems. The company also disclosed that the threat actor accessed certain external electronic health record system portals. Personally Identifiable Information and Personal Health Information may have been compromised in this data breach.
