Biography

Kim is an Environmental, Health & Safety Auditor and Compliance Manager with over 33 years of experience in environmental compliance & permitting, manufacturing, and project management.
 
Kim is a subject matter expert in NSR/PSD permitting, PAL/Flex permitting, air compliance testing, NESHAP, NSPS, environmental compliance programs, odor issues, asbestos and ASTM standards. She has obtained complex air permits for greenfield and brownfield sites, as well as numerous air permit modifications. And she has implemented monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting methods to comply with PTI and Title V air permits. Kim also has extensive experience managing environmental requirements during new facility and operation launches. Kim’s environmental regulatory and air permitting experience extends throughout the United States and in Canada, Poland, China, South Korea, and England.
 
Kim has provided air, water and waste compliance and permitting support in the auto manufacturing industry, including coating operations, metal fabrication, powerhouse operations, non-manufacturing facilities and battery manufacturing. Some of Kim’s water and waste experiences include supporting WWTP operations and permitting, SPCC planning, solid and hazardous waste characterization, and waste-related compliance programs. Kim also understands ODS/CFC management, SWPPP/Stormwater permitting and management, and Community-Right-to Know (SARA) reporting, and is equally proficient with most OSHA regulatory requirements such as HazCom, LOTO, Confined Space, Emergency Planning, etc.
 
Kim has applied her technical expertise and interpersonal skills in mentoring & training facility engineers, as well as negotiating permits and compliance issues with numerous state agencies. Kim has also worked with other manufacturers while negotiating rule development with US EPA and state agencies. Finally, Kim has internally audited automotive manufacturing facilities and evaluated suppliers for compliance with environmental standards and air permits.
 
Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
