Biography

Sam has performed many EHS audits in several of the U.S. states and is developing his skills as a well-rounded regulatory EHS auditor.  At the same time, he is also developing a strong expertise in performing lockout, guarding, confined space, fall protection surveys, noise monitoring, industrial hygiene monitoring and in developing related and necessary corrective actions to address the gaps he finds in these programs. He has performed gap analyses for clients in the auto parts manufacturing, battery production, utilities, food and beverage, recycling and disposal facilities, and other heavy manufacturing industries. He has an added advantage in that he possesses in-plant / field experience as a pipe welder providing him with insight into how maintenance and manufacturing functions interact and how to get the best out of both.

Sam has developed health & safety facility-specific compliance programs and procedures for several clients in the following regulatory areas: the control of hazardous energy / lockout tagout, fall protection, hazard communication, machine guarding, emergency response, and confined space entry. He has also delivered new employee orientation training, performed hazardous waste accumulation area and SPCC inspections, and documented air pollution control equipment and emergency generator monitoring data and opacity readings. Sam’s education, technical and professional EHS background provides a significant advantage toward improving manufacturing plant compliance and protecting clients against enforcement actions.

Sam is an Eagle Scout and holds TIG and arc welding certifications for pipe and structural steel welding.
