On or about June 14, 2022, Yuma Regional Medical Center (“YRMC”) announced a data breach; according to databreachtoday.com, the breach affected 700,000 individuals. Databreachtoday.com as well as a notification posted on the YRMC website state unauthorized access to the YRMC network was gained between April 21, 2022, and April 25, 2022 and YMRC identified an event affecting its internal systems on April 25, 2022. Compromised information included personal identifiable information (“PII”) and protected health information (“PHI”) including names, Social Security numbers, health insurance information, and limited medical information relating to care as a patient.
