According to law enforcement officials, email accounts of certain American Airlines employees were breached on or about July 5, 2022. American Airlines has indicated that the compromised accounts may have included personally identifiable information (“PII”) and protected health information (“PHI”) of American Airlines employees and customers, including names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license and passport numbers, and medical information. American Airlines began notifying persons affected by the breach on or about September 16, 2022.
