Physician’s Business Office (“PBO”) is a third-party vendor offering administrative services to healthcare providers. On April 4, 2022, the company’s network experienced a data breach exposing 196,573 individuals’ personally identifiable information (“PII”) and protected health information (“PHI”). On July 26,2022, PBO notified healthcare providers of the breach and, on September 23, 2022, PBO began notifying the affected individuals. The “PII” and “PHI” included patients’ names, home addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, medical treatment and diagnosis information, disability codes, prescription information and health insurance account information.
