Sequoia Benefits and Insurance LLC Data Breach

Sequoia Benefits and Insurance LLC focuses on human resources, payroll and benefits. On December 7, 2022, the company sent out notification letters explaining that there was a breach exposing sensitive and personal information. This information included names, date of birth, address, gender, marital status, employment status, social security number, work email address, wage data for benefits, any attachments that may have been provided, ID cards, COVID test results and COVID vaccine cards. This was due to an unauthorized party accessing a cloud storage system between September and October 2022.
