Motility Software Solutions, Inc. Breach Investigation

On September 29, 2025, Motility Software Solutions, Inc. (“Motility”) reported a breach of their internal systems to the Maine Attorney General’s Office. Motility is a software provider for specialty automotive dealerships. The breach occurred on August 11, 2025 and was discovered by Motility on August 19, 2025. According to Motility, the personally identifiable information (“PII”) of approximately 750,000 individuals was involved in the breach. PII included in the incident includes, but is not limited to: name, date of birth, contact information, postal address, social security number, and drivers license number. Motility began mailing notifications to affected parties on September 29, 2025.
