On April 10, 2023, letters were sent to Webster Bank customers informing them of a breach involving Guardian Analytics (“Guardian”), the bank’s fraud service provider. Because of the breach, the bank’s customers’ personally identifiable information (“PII”) had been compromised including their Social Security numbers, names, and account numbers. Reportedly, Guardian’s systems were accessed at various times between November 27, 2022, and January 17, 2023 by an unauthorized party, and Guardian discovered the breach on January 24, 2023. It was not until February 10, 2023, that Guardian confirmed Webster Bank’s data had been impacted. If you or someone you know received a notice letter about the Webster Bank data breach, or any other data breach involving Guardian Analytics, and would like additional information about your legal rights, you can contact Goldenberg Schneider, LPA by calling 513-982-1569, sending an email to [email protected] or completing the “Contact Us” form to the right.
