First National Holdings, LLC (First National Assets) Data Breach Investigation

First National Holdings, LLC (‘FNH’), which also goes by First National Assets, is a Chicago-based finance company that primarily services property tax liens. According to FNH’s July 10, 2026, report to the Texas Attorney General’s Office, the company suffered a third-party data exfiltration event, leaving thousands of people’s personally identifiable information (‘PII’) and personal health information (‘PHI) in jeopardy. Affected PII and PHI includes, but is not limited to, names, Social Security Numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial information, health information, and ‘other’ information that was not categorized. The full number of affected individuals is not currently known. However, 34,507 Texas residents alone were affected. FNH began mailing impacted people notification of the breach via U.S. Mail on July 9, 2026.
