Honeywell International, Inc. / Progress MOVEIT Data Breach Investigation

On September 14, 2023, Honeywell International, Inc. began issuing breach notification letters to the 118,379 individuals whose names and social security numbers were breached. The personal information was breached because of Honeywell’s use of the Progress Software MOVEit file transfer tool. A vulnerability was discovered in the MOVEit file transfer tool on May 27, 2023, and Honeywell learned on June 3, 2023 that is had been impacted by the vulnerability that breached information.
