The network of Columbus Regional Healthcare System was breached between May 19, 2023, and May 21, 2023, compromising 132, 887 patients’ personally identifiable information (“PII”) and possibly compromising protected health information (“PHI”). Patient notification letters were sent on January 19, 2024, nearly 8 months after the breach. Reportedly, names and Social Security numbers were compromised; other types of compromised “PII” and “PHI” is expected to be disclosed in patients’ individual notification letters.
