Advance Auto Parts (“Company”) Data Breach Investigation

According to a June 14, 2024 SEC filing, Advance Auto Parts identified unauthorized activity within a third-party cloud database environment containing Advance Auto Parts’ data; and, it’s believed on June 4, 2024, a criminal threat actor offered the Company data for sale. The data includes social security numbers or other government identification numbers of current and former job applicants and employees of Advance Auto Parts. To date, the number of individuals affected by the breach has not been reported. The June 14, 2024 SEC filing stated the Company anticipates providing notice of the incident.
