TriHealth Data Breach Investigation

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 27,426 patients of an OB/GYN practice titled “For Women” had their personally identifiable information (“PII”) and protected health information (“PHI” ) compromised in a breach. “For Women” joined TriHealth in January 2020 and their historical electronic documents were put in storage. The electronic documents were accessed by an unauthorized character compromising patients’ names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, claims information and clinical information, such as medical conditions, medications, lab results and other treatment information.
