Regional Care Inc. (“RCI”) Data Breach Investigation

According to its website, Regional Care Inc. (“RCI”) is one of the nation’s premier independent third-party administrators of benefit plans serving 300 clients in 48 states. On or about September 13, 2024, an unauthorized party accessed “RCI’s” network and accessed 225,728 individuals’ personally identifiable information (“PII”) and protected health information (“PHI”). The “PII” and “PHI” included name, Social Security Number, date of birth, medical information, and health insurance information. On December 16, 2024, “RCI” began mailing notification letters to affected individuals.
