DISA Global Solutions, Inc. Data Breach Investigation

According to its website, DISA Global Solutions, Inc. (“DISA”) has a customer base of 55,000 and is a leading provider of screening services. The screening services include drug and alcohol testing and background checks for employers. Between February 9, 2024 and April 22, 2024, an unauthorized actor gained access to DISA’s network which compromised personally identifiable information (“PII”) and protected health information (“PHI’) of 3,332,750 individuals. The PII and PHI includes name; address; Social Security number; license number, government-issued ID number (e.g. passport, state ID card), financial Information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number), medical Information; health Insurance Information; other; and date of birth. The breach was discovered on April 22, 2024, and notification letters began to be mailed to compromised individuals on February 21, 2025, i.e., nearly 10 months after the breach.
