ALN Medical Management, LLC Data Breach Investigation

ALN Medical Management (“ALN”) provides billing services and revenue recycle management to healthcare providers such as National Spine and Pain (Maryland), Inpatient Physician Associates (Nebraska), Hoag Clinic (California), and Allied Physicians Group (New York). After nearly one year, on March 21, 2025, ALN began sending notification letters to individuals whose personally identifiable information (“PII”) and protected health information (“PHI”) was compromised during a March 2024 data breach. The compromised PII and PHI included individuals’ names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued ID number (e.g. passport, state ID card), financial information (e.g. account number, credit or debit card number), medical information, and health insurance information. Although the total number of affected individuals has not been disclosed, in Texas alone, 127,113 individuals’ PII and PHI was compromised when an unauthorized character accessed ALN’s network in 2024.
