LexisNexis Risk Solutions (“LNRS”) Data Breach Investigation

On May 24, 2025, LexisNexis Risk Solutions (“LNRS”) began notifying individuals about a December 25, 2024 data breach that compromised their personally identifiable information (“PII”). According to a report filed with a state entity, the breach was the result of an unauthorized actor’s acquisition of LNRS data from a third-party platform used for software development. Reportedly, the breach comprised the PII of 364,333 individuals and the PII included the individuals’ Social Security numbers, dates of birth, drivers’ license numbers, phone numbers, mailing addresses, and email addresses.
