Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America Data Breach Investigation

Reportedly, nearly 1.4 million customers, financial professionals, and employees of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (“Allianz Life”) had their personally identifiable information (“PII”) and (“PHI”) compromised during a data breach. The breach occurred on or about July 16, 2025 when an unauthorized character gained access to a cloud-based Customer Relationship Management system. Allianz Life is expected to notify affected individuals about the breach in an August 1, 2025 mailing. The letter will likely explain the types of compromised PII and PHI e.g., names, addresses, dates of birth, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, medical information, and health insurance information.
