Finastra Technology Inc. Data Breach Investigation

Finastra Technology Inc. (“Finastra”) provides financial services software to more than eight thousand banks and financial institutions. At various times between October 31, 2024 and November 8, 2024, Finastra’s systems were breached by an unauthorized actor. Customers of some of the banks and financial institutions had their names, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth compromised during the breach, putting them at substantial risk of identity theft. Although Finastra discovered the breach on November 7, 2024, the company did not begin mailing notification letters to affected individuals until June 30, 2025.
