Prosper Marketplace, Inc. Data Breach Investigation

Prosper Marketplace, Inc. (“Prosper”) is a digital platform that offers borrowers personalized loan options while providing investors with investment opportunities. Due to a September 2, 2025 breach of Prosper’s systems, 17.6 million individuals’ personally identifiable information (“PII”) was exposed. The PII included the individuals’ names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, physical addresses, government-issued IDs, employment and credit status, income levels, IP addresses, and browser user-agent details. Reportedly, Prosper has begun notifying the individuals affected by the breach.
