700Credit Data Breach Investigation

700Credit is a Michigan-based company that provides credit, identity, and compliance solutions, including credit reports, to automotive, RV, powersports, and marine dealerships. On November 16, 2025, the data breach monitoring site DataBreach.io broke news of a dark web listing that claimed 700Credit experienced a data breach in late-October 2025. 700Credit has since confirmed a recent data breach exposing an undisclosed number of customers’ Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”). The compromised PII includes, but is not limited to, names, addresses, and social security numbers. 700Credit notified the FBI as well as the Federal Trade Commission about the security incident and will begin notifying state attorneys general as well as individual, impacted customers.
