Sax LLP Data Breach Investigation

Sax LLP (“Sax”) is a licensed CPA firm based in New Jersey. On August 7, 2024, Sax discovered suspicious activity in their network. Following an internal investigation, Sax concluded an unauthorized actor access Sax files containing over 200,000 Sax customers’ Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”). The compromised PII includes dates of birth, Social Security Numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, and passport numbers. Sax began sending notification letters to affected customers on or around December 16, 2025.
