The Phia Group, LLC Data Breach Investigation

The Phia Group, LLC (“Phia”) provides subrogation and other administrative services to insurance companies, third-party administrators, and health benefits administrator. On July 9, 2024, Phia discovered suspicious activity on its computer network. Phia undertook an investigation and concluded that an unauthorized actor accessed its network from July 8, 2024 to July 9, 2024. The unauthorized actor acquired personal data belonging to an undisclosed number of Phia’s partners’ clientele. This potentially-compromised data includes, but is not limited to, names, addresses, dates of birth, medical information, prescription information, health insurance information, provider information, treatment and/or diagnosis information, treatment dates, lab or test results, patient account and/or medical record numbers, Medicare/Medicaid information, driver’s license or state identification card numbers, other government issued identifications, financial account information, and/or Social Security numbers.
