CareCloud, Inc. d/b/a CareCloud Health (“CareCloud”) is a healthcare technology company serving over 40,000 medical providers. CareCloud offers cloud-based services ranging from a telehealth platform to revenue cycle management solutions. According to a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March 24, 2026, CareCloud recently experienced a cyber-security incident.
On March 16, 2026, CareCloud suffered an eight-hour network disruption impacting one of its six electronic health environments. CareCloud has since restored functionality to the affected environment and has engaged a cyber-security team to investigate the incident. Though the investigation is ongoing, the company believes an unauthorized third-party accessed its system. According to CareCloud, the affected electronic health environment stores patient information and, consequently, some patients’ Protected Health Information and/or Personally Identifiable Information may have been compromised.
