Frost Bank is a San Antonio, Texas-based bank with locations throughout the state. It recently experienced a data security incident that potentially compromised Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) belonging to an undetermined number of Frost Bank customers.
On April 20, 2026, a hacking group called Everest posted to the Dark Web a sample of data it claims to have stolen from Frost Bank. Everest says it took sensitive information belonging to over 250,000 Frost Bank customers. CyberNews, a technology news outlet, evaluated the data sample and saw what appears to be Social Security numbers (SSN), tax Identification numbers (TIN), full names, mortgage interest rates, profit gains from investments, income, taxable amounts, and home addresses. It is important to note that Cybernews could not verify this data came from Frost Bank. However, a Frost Bank spokesperson told Cybernews that a third-party vendor recently informed them of an “unauthorized access to their systems.”
Goldenberg Schneider, LPA is investigating this incident given the potential that it compromised some Frost Bank customers’ PII.
