Heritage Bank (“Heritage”) is an Olympia, Washington-based bank with 50 locations across three states: Washington, Iowa, and Oregon. It recently experienced a data breach, potentially exposing the personal information of some Heritage customers.
On or around March 2, 2026, Heritage discovered suspicious activity within its network. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized party copied certain files from an internal server on March 1, 2026. The compromised files may have contained an undisclosed number of customers’ Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”). Impacted PII includes, but is not limited to, account numbers, Social Security Numbers or Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers, dates of birth, and addresses.
