Triad Radiology Associates (“TRA”) is a North Carolina-based physicians’ practice providing radiology and imaging services to patients across 18 locations. It experienced a breach in 2025, potentially compromising the sensitive data of an undisclosed number of TRA patients.
On or around July 30, 2025, TRA discovered suspicious activity related to an employee email account. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized actor accessed TRA’s network between July 11, 2025, and September 8, 2025. During that period, the unauthorized actor retrieved files containing Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) and Protected Health Information (“PHI”). The compromised PII and PHI includes, but is not limited to, patient addresses, Social Security Numbers, driver’s licenses, bank account information, birthdates, medical information, and health insurance information.
