Arietis Health / Progress MOVEit Data Breach Investigation

Arietis Health provides billing services for certain health care providers that administer pain management services or anesthesia. On May 31, 2023, Arietis Health learned that the file transfer tool they utilize – Progress Software’s MOVEit Transfer – had a vulnerability. As a result of the vulnerability, an unauthorized actor accessed Arietis Health’s MOVEit server and acquired certain patient information including the patients’ names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued ID numbers (e.g. passport, state ID card), medical Information and health insurance information. For a list of Arietis Health’s health care provider clients whose patient information was compromised, please see the chart below. Arietis Health began issuing letters to affected individuals on or about October 2, 2023.
