On August 8, 2023, Auto Club Trust learned from its service provider, believed to be FIS Global, that its customers’ personal information had been breached due to the security vulnerability in the Progress MOVEit Software. The MOVEit Transfer Software is produced by Progress Software and it is used to transfer large digital files. Auto Club Trust sent notification letters to affected individuals stating their personal information had been compromised; however, the letters were not sent until September 29, 2023. The notification letter stated the compromised information included names, contact information (e.g., email and postal addresses), dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and passport numbers. If you receive a letter from Auto Club Trust notifying you that your personal information was compromised because of the Progress Software MOVEit Transfer vulnerability and breach and you would like additional information about your legal rights, you can contact Goldenberg Schneider, LPA by calling 513-982-1569, sending an email to [email protected] or completing the “Contact Us” form to the right.
