Financial Institution Services Corporation (“FISC”) / Progress Software Data Breach Investigation

Financial Institution Services Corporation (“FISC”) processes information for several financial institutions including those listed in the chart below. FISC was utilizing the MOVEit Transfer file share program manufactured by Progress Software when a vulnerability was discovered in the software on May 30, 2023. FISC learned of the vulnerability on May 31, 2023, but did not notify 753,261 individuals whose personal information had been compromised until September 22, 2023. An additional 353,309 individuals were compromised and reported in a supplemental notification filed with a state Attorney General’s office on September 28, 2023. The compromised information included name, address, date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number and other government issued identification number, financial account information, telephone number, and credit and/or debit card number.
