Norton Healthcare Data Breach Investigation

Norton Healthcare is a Louisville, KY based healthcare system that operates clinics and hospitals in and around Louisville, KY. Between May 7 and May 9, 2023, an unauthorized third party accessed the healthcare system’s network that contained personal information and protected health information of patients and personal information of employees. In total, 2.5 million individuals’ information was exposed including Social Security Number, date of birth, contact information, health information, insurance information, and medical identification number, and for certain individuals, driver’s license number, other government ID numbers, financial account numbers, and digital signatures. Notifications letter started to be sent to affected individuals on December 8, 2023.
