East River Medical Imaging Data Breach Investigation

From August 31-September 20, 2023, East River Medical Imaging’s (“ERMI”) network was accessed by an unauthorized character. The breach resulted in the exposure of personally identifiable information (“PII”) of 605, 809 patients and employees, and the “PII” included name, Social Security number, contact information, insurance information, exam and/or procedure information, referring physician, and/or imaging results, financial account information, and driver’s license number. “ERMI” began sending letters to affected individuals on November 22, 2023.
