Singing River Health System (Mississippi) Data Breach Investigation

Nearly 253,000 patients of the Singing River Health System had their personally identifiable information (“PII”)and protected health information (“PHI”)breached between August 16 and August 19, 2023. The Health System began notifying patients of the breach on January 12, 2024. According to the letter, the Health System experienced a ransomware attack on August 19, 2023 which exposed patients’ names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, addresses, medical information, and health insurance information.
