Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin (“GHC-SCW”) Data Breach Investigation

“GHC-SCW” is a not-for-profit, member-owned cooperative health plan that provides health care to its members. On January 24, 2024, the network of “GHC-SCW” was breached compromising personally identifiable information (“PII”) of 533,809 individuals. The “PII” included name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and/or death, social security number, member number, and Medicare and/or Medicaid number. The breach was discovered on January 25, 2024 and notification letters for affected individuals were finalized on March 29, 2024.
