DermCare Management (“DCM”) provides office and operational support to dermatology practices throughout Florida, California, Texas, Virginia, and North Carolina. DCM experienced a data breach in 2025 that may have exposed sensitive information belonging to some patients of practices using its services.
On February 26, 2025, DCM learned of suspicious activity within its network environment. An investigation revealed that an unauthorized party accessed or took certain files between February 14, 2025, and February 26, 2025. As a result, some patients’ Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) and Protected Health Information (“PHI”) may have been compromised. Potentially impacted PII and PHI include, but are not limited to, names, addresses, Social Security Numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued ID numbers, financial information, and medical information.
